Value engineering considers costs not just at the stage of initial budget but also, throughout the project life-cycle. This encompasses things like maintenance, operation, and eventual disposal.
Multi-Disciplinary Approach
Value engineering is a collaborative effort that brings together experts from different disciplines, such as engineering, design, finance & management. Diverse perspectives contribute to a more thorough analysis and decision-making process.
Function-Cost Optimization
The aim is to maximize a project’s functionalities relative to its cost. This could include sourcing alternate materials, redesigning components or others.
